Farnborough is upon us - ORDERS TABLE BELOW...

Finally Farnborough is here, and the Ascend team will be there in force to bring you all the news.

As with previous shows we'll be updating the below order table and pushing out order announcements via Twitter/AscendAviation. So make sure you keep visiting the blog and if you haven't done so already, sign up to our Twitter feed  for all the news as it happens! http://twitter.com/AscendAviation/

But what about the show itself, what can we expect?

The star of the show will undoubtedly be the much anticipated first public outing for Boeing's 787. 2 years late and with lessons learnt from supply chain issues the 787 is bound to cause many headlines as she sits in the static display on Monday and Tuesday only. You can however catch an early glimpse and perhaps a photo if you're lucky if it arrives on time at 9am on Sunday the 18th.

Airbus are bringing their own Farnborough first in the shape of the 4 engine prop driven A400 military transport. The aircraft made its Air Show debut in Berlin earlier in the year, but unlike the 787 you can catch the A400 in the flying display.

Of course the real interest at Farnborough is the orders, with all manufacturers rumoured to have a few announcements up their sleeves. The long awaited Emirates 777-300ER follow on order tops everybody's lists as the most likely, but amongst the other rumours is an Aeroflot A330-300 order.

One thing's for sure, and that's that the show, which runs from the 19th - 25th of July, will bring plenty of surprises. So make sure you keep checking back with us for all the news!
